Click on link to watch new split screen video: www.youtube.com What should have been uneventful incident free coverage of a nonprofit group’s annual open meeting, which was held in a public facility. Turned violent when an individual described as a “soldier” for the organization attacked a Photojournalist from behind. Unknown to those in the room, including the Photojournalist, another Journalist deployed his Kodak “Instamatic” pocket camera and proceeded to; in his own words “capture a crime in progress” on video. That video has been intercut with the video from the Photojournalist’s Betacam and is being made available on You Tube for the public to view. After the attack members of the La Habra Heights Improvement Association claimed it was a “private meeting”. Even though two Journalists were asked to sign the guest sheet prior to the meeting and were never asked to leave. One Journalist was even offered cookies and lemonade. Responding law enforcement affirmed the public’s right to be there. Charges are pending an investigation by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. My favorite place to get away to…I go every year.
My grandparents used to own a shop there in the 1930′s. Nice video, but where are all the beach shots? No Steps Beach, no Dionis, no Surfside? Would have loved to see a Madaket sunset, too. Oh and no hydrangea’s?! Sacriledge!

i love it here.. my grandpa has lived there for 19 years… so i go there a couple times a year.. its such a nice place.

Sensitive and touching little video. Nantucket is a dream come alive for those of us who only get there occasionally. The smells and the light, even the shadows are brilliant. Thank you.

Loved Front Street- my summer home of thirty years, “Seaward”. Now I live three blocks away. Nantucket is awesome and to reply to “Teddy” I say- when you get used to it you forget how awesome it is. Hard to describe the character, friends, the light, the feeling of history. Check out the new “Shipwreck Museum” this summer!

As a former resident, it made me really homesick. Makes my heart really ache to get back. It’s noot all spring time and flowers there though. Its a hard place to survive without REAL money. Thanks for the nice video. I’ll try to stop crying now.
